I'm watching David Letterman right now -- Cage the Elephant is playing! I don't know a lot about them, but I love how Matt Schultz, the frontman, moves around on stage. He has pretty good presence; I mean, he just seems like he's having fun, and I think that's a crucial part of making music. Yeah, you gotta have soul and all that, but you also gotta have some sense of humor.
Don't let 'em pick on you for your relentlessly tight pants, Mr. Schultz, 'cause you can't please everyone. Besides, you have moves like the Joker, and I dig that.
Also, I don't know if he normally looks like this (and I don't care enough to find out), but the drummer really resembles Matthew Gray Gubler tonight.

Your girl really is a maniac.
This Saturday, I'm going scene! Okay, not really. But sort of -- at least, enough to make my peers in this town of 2,000 whisper when I pass by; enough to be called a poseur, though half of the people who'll say it can't actually spell it (I live by the simple principle that one should not use insults that one does not know how to spell).
It's just the hair. I don't know what it is about scene hair that I love. Maybe it's the choppy layers, or the chunky highlights. Whatever it is, I want it on the top of my head, too, and I've lined up a few reference pictures of cut and color for my aunt to look at. I want a short cut, and even though this girl's hair is just pinned underneath, I love the messy look of it. This girl's bangs are great. As for color, I really like these pretty reds, but the more natural red is nice, too.
I know the look is pretty generic and overdone, but I don't care. I'm not doing it to gain anyone's approval; I just like the way it looks.
Actually, I'm hoping that when I get it done, I'll run into Kevin, and my new mainstream image will disgust him so much that he won't have any desire to be with me on any level.
It's sad. He's probably the nicest guy I've ever met, and I just don't feel anything for him. Le sigh.

I've gotten into this whole fanlisting craze, as you can probably tell by my recent collection. It's a fun little thing to do, even though I'm almost certain it's entirely pointless. I like seeing the icons pile up, except I usually don't add a fanlisting unless the layout is pretty, even for listings that I really want to be a part of. Call me anal, but I don't want to be affiliated in any way with an ugly site. Of course, I would have added myself to the Bowie fanlisting regardless, but luckily, the designer of that layout is quite fluent.
I have no idea what I'm going to do when I have tons of those little buttons in every category. I guess I'll have to use a collective script, because CuteNews isn't really wired for that kind of organizing.
Le sigh. I can't get Enthusiast to work with my MySQL database, though. I don't know what the problem is -- I had the same trouble with WordPress, but other scripts work just fine. I'm not really a PHP buff; if anyone has any suggestions, feel free (nay, welcomed!) to impart your bounteous knowledge upon me.
